W: Oh, no, what now? I am almost 19, I can take care of myself.

W: Oh dad, I’m always careful and college is all about experimentation, right? I’ve seen pictures of you back in the day smoking marijuana.
M: You are right, I did smoke marijuana when I was in school. But time was different then. We did that mainly as a means of rebellion against the establishment.
W: And that made it alright?
M: Of course not, but there are lots of different drugs available nowadays and many of them are really dangerous. I just don’t want you to hurt yourself.

听力文本:
College students often decorate their dorm rooms with posters and pictures of people they admire. Usually the type of the person students choose to display on their walls has a connection to the subjects they are studying. For example, art students might have paintings by Paul Cézanne or photographs by Ansel Adams. History students might have pictures of Martin Luther King, Junior, Winston Churchill or Mao Tse-tung. And philosophy students might have paintings or pictures of Socrates, Friedrich Nietzsche or Ayn Rand. Students in colleges are exposed to many new ideas, thoughts and concepts. Often the people students choose to admire have one thing in common – rebellion. Not all famous people rebelled against the establishment. But many people became famous because they rebelled against the current status and chose to do things in a very different way from how they have been done before. Some rebel by protesting against the government, some rebel by creating a new style of painting. Some rebel by singing songs that express their beliefs. Some rebel by writing influential books hat help other people think in different ways. Whatever the results of the rebellion, the cause is nearly always rooted in dissatisfaction with some aspect of the society and with the way things are.

Q9: What does the passage suggest is the common cause of all rebellion?
Q10: Who might have a picture of Socrates on his / her dorm wall?
Q11: According to the passage, why do people often become famous?

The new institute will be called the Bonavero Institute of Human Rights at the University of Oxford, named after the Bonavero family. The institute is expected to begin work in late 2016, with the building due to be completed for the start of the following academic year. The institute will serve as a focal point for human rights law scholarship in Oxford. Its chief aim will be to foster greater academic and public understanding of human rights law through teaching, research, and working with other disciplines with an interest in human rights.
